Pepita has always creatively expressed herself through the design medium of textiles. Over the last 15 years her ‘one offs’ for friends and select clients have added to the rich fashion tapestries of London, New York, Sydney and Paris. However, this is her first commercial range. For Pepita this time has been a renaissance-like apprenticeship. As a young woman Pepita joined a circus that was touring Europe for a few years. She learned about colour and movement. Her long association since then in theatre taught her subtlety and illusion. Her artwork taught her patience, her music taught her timing. Her final training was motherhood, which taught her the practicality of clothing.

There is a grace and style about Fable’s hand finished, Australian made Spring/Summer collection that makes it uniquely timeless. There is all of spring in a simple dress, a world of dreams in a coat. There is a whimsical air about the line that whispers a slower era, a different time – a different place. Like a painting – painted far, far away, like the notes of a distant song, like a swallow in a summer haze, a gentle reminder of carefree days.
